I have personally gotten to know Alissa Black, she is an amazing person and fearless woman. I am so happy that she will be a Wasatch Woman Community Nominee. She has been a tremendous advocate for women and children living with and surviving domestic violence. I am so proud of her! I hope that this award will help further her mission.

Alissa Black is my sister and she has gone above and beyond her own job as a Victim's Advocate to create a non-profit that aids victims. She saw a problem and used her strong will to help those in need. Congratulations Alissa!
